And it happened at the Peachtree Road Race. Full details here.

Race Number Acquired

After braving the crowds at the Health & Fitness Expo, I have my number in my possession. Now I just need to hydrate and rest up for the race on Monday.

Run Time

There was a little gap between errands today so I decided to fill it with a 5k. Not a great time, but decent for a spontaneous run. The Boy rode alongside. Oh, and it was 94 degrees, so there's that.

Straight 5k

Just a straight run. No intervals. No stopping.

A Monday Run

The usual route, but with 5/1 intervals instead of the usual 3/1. My pace and endurance still need improvement if I'm going to run the Peachtree in less than an hour.

Friday 5k

The typical route with 3/1 interval training.

Forgot to switch RunKeeper back to KM units (again). I sure wish the app had the ability to set distance units preferences for each activity type. Are you listening, RunKeeper?

Achievement Unlocked

There it is. My first 5k under 25 minutes. And it happened at an officially sanctioned event, the Run the River 5/10k. Runkeeper shows the distance at 4.95k, but the official time was 24:47. My next goal is 24:30 5k, and a sub-60 minute 10k.

Two Laps at Big Creek

A crisp morning 5k

Crisp morning run at Roswell Area Park on 5/1.5 minute intervals.
